I’m considering using Adobe Captivate for a course work I want to have done in Adobe Captivate and as part of it I need to have some interactive features.

For the interactive features I was thinking about modifying it to submit the form with a name and the user’s email address.

So I could filter the output using the name and email address as filters and also I could use them to create a list of users.

This is all I have in mind, but I really don’t know how I would go about doing this.

I am planning to have the course work submit the data automatically when the user clicks on the submit button.

How would I go about generating the response for this?

Would I have to use an event?

Or is there some other event I could use?

Does anyone have any ideas on how I could do this?

Thanks

Expertise is defined by those who know they know it all, while lacking knowledge is defined by those who know they don’t know it all.

That’s what I thought. So I thought I’d ask the experts first, before wasting time trying to look it up.

Have an event like OnSubmit for example, and then write the following within the page:

Code:

if myvar:= myvar.record(‘name’).getValue():
if myvar:= myvar.record(’email’).getValue():
if myvar:= myvar.record(‘status’).getValue():
if myvar:= myvar.record(‘grade’).getValue():
if myvar:= myvar.record(‘comment’).getValue():
makeResponse()

Hope this helps

… scanning for flaws to fix? Or are you just getting information about design flaws to your web site and are looking for an easy way to extract the information? The answer is Flare.
Flare is more than a web page scanner – it also knows how to extract information from pages.
The software has a large library of predefined information that can be extracted from a web page. In addition, you can easily create your own custom information types.
Once you have the information in Flare you can use it in a number of ways. You can create charts that show where the problem areas are. You can export the data to Excel for further analysis. Or you can use Flare to create an RSS feed that can be used in your favorite RSS reader.
Flare is supported on Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux. It supports Internet Explorer 6, Firefox, Safari, Opera, and Camino.

… is there such a tool available? Is it a good idea?
I have an idea for a web-based customer feedback tool. Once a customer downloads it, he gets a completely self-run webmail account. He must then register for a password in my webmail server that can be used on a dial-up connection.
Any feedback on this idea? Any similar software already exists? How can I work with you on making this available?
I’ve been looking for information on a tool like this. I’ve found a couple of tools, but they seem to lack the simplicity and quality I want.
My idea would be to create a Gmail type of application that can be used online, and only have part of a client installed on a PC so it is easier for you to help and support the end-user.
Would any of you guys be interested in using this type of software? Or would you rather have a traditional web-based application (similar to Google’s)?
What other tools do you know that might be good enough?
